New training academy opened in Stoke to promote tech jobs

The Shelton based automotive software company Click Dealer has announced the launch of a special in-house training academy for young people who are seeking a career in the IT industry. This is a welcome move for students in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for professional career guidance once they complete their college. They have named this training program as “Click academy” and have already accepted the first set of apprentices for in-house training.

The operations manager of Click Dealer commented that they have always struggled to recruit fresh talents who can be directly employed. There has been always a void when it comes to Information technology training in Stoke and the trend is for people to travel to other cities for a career in technology. Most of the students who aspired for a technology career traveled to either Manchester or London in the past for technology jobs and this trend might reverse with the launch of this new academy.

Click Dealer has always believed in the youth in Stoke and was planning to start an academy to help them. They wanted to show the youth of Stoke that there are enough opportunities in the IT industry and most importantly students can find tech jobs locally instead of traveling to other cities. They have been working together with Newcastle College for more than 12 months to come up with a curriculum.

The apprenticeship offered by Click Academy is a 12 months course which will train students to become a full-fledged web application developer. They are also reaching out to local educational institutions and schools for promoting their new course. So far they have witnessed decent interest from the students. Though the academy is still new Click dealer is already considering to expand the apprenticeship to other verticals like sales and marketing.

We believe this is a step in the right direction since it will encourage the students of Stoke-on-Trent to get trained in the technology sector and also get jobs locally. Other technology companies are also considering the option to start apprenticeships which will benefit the young population. Click dealer has been enjoying great success in their business and they hired an additional 25 new employees in the month of March. During the month of March they have talked about the possible expansion of the company to start a new training academy and they have delivered exactly the same.

It is highly believed Click dealer will offer a permanent job to the first set of interns who successfully completed the apprenticeship. In addition, a completion certificate will also be given. If you are interested in Click Academy’s course, you can reach them 01782 454461 or email jobs@clickdealer.co.uk.
